Should the building of mosques in non-Islamic countries be allowed? Considering..?

Islam has lost its way just the same as Christianity did many hundreds of years ago but principally it is a very peaceful religion that has brought much wisdom and science to the modern world. But sadly it has become the bad boy religion of our times. If we allow non native religious buildings to be built it enrich the culture of the country by showing the more fundamental nut jobs that we are stronger than they are, its a risk but I would take the risk than be in a state that doesn't allow religious beliefs to freedom that is Fascism and so count me out.
