What dog should i get that will go great with my puggle puppy?

my pug and beagle mix is a b=very playful 4 month old puppy who likes to atack my feet and murder stuffed animals, chew electrical cords, eat everything it can find then crap in the house. its a girl named roxy. she is nice to other dogs though. would a large, older dog get along well with her or would a small one be better? we really want a big dog. would male of female be better? we apsolutly dont want another puggle or young dog though!.
