Is there such a thing as coincidence or is the universe trying to tell me something?

I'm in a rather difficult situation with a man whom I have incredible chemisty with and we both have feelings for each other. Things are quite complicated, as we work together (but for two different companies), I just got out of a relationship and his long term relationship isn't going so well. I've restricted contact with him on a personal level and am keeping thing professional as I have no desire to be "the other woman". It's not right, and I know that. Now, here is the part of what's going on I'm questioning. Is there a greater force in the universe trying to tell me something? I live in CT and he lives in Toronto, but is originally from Montreal. I am constantly (4-5 times a day) seeing references to either Montreal, Toronto or Canada in the strangest places. Two perfect examples just in the last week. I asked the universe if we were supposed to be together later to play a U2 song, when I turned on the radio, literally the first song...was U2.
