Actually, I was able to get the 25g a day easily by changing my grocery shopping habits. Mainly, by replacing regular bread products with high-fiber ones, and having 2-3 servings of fruits and vegetables with lunch and dinner. Metamucil actually doesn't have a lot of fiber in it (6g) - a Thomas Light English Muffin has 8g, and makes a wonderful snack with some pureed strawberries on top (2g fiber). And, it doesn't have the texture of drinking sand.
