Rear ended in a three car crash. Who's insurance is liable? ?

Everyone is responsible for staying a "decent" distance behind the other person. If you hit someone from behind the insurance is usually going to say that you weren't a "decent" distance from them. So, I would think that everyone is responsible for the person in front of them. That means that your insurance pays for the person in front of you and the person behind you pays for yours. So, the only person that gets out scot free is the front car. Good luck!
